Welcome to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). As the Dean of this esteemed faculty, it is my privilege to lead a dynamic community of scholars, researchers, and future veterinary professionals dedicated to advancing animal health, human well-being, and food security. Veterinary medicine plays a crucial role in modern society—bridging the gap between human and animal health through the One Health approach, ensuring food safety, and contributing significantly to national agricultural productivity and economic growth.
At the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, JUST, we are committed to offering a world-class educational experience. Our curriculum is carefully designed to integrate rigorous academic instruction with hands-on clinical training, modern research methodologies, and community outreach. Mission And Vision
Vision:
1. To produce world class Day one skilled Veterinarians.
2. To provide integrated degrees in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.).
3. Creation of skilled and knowledgeable manpower in view of increasing demand in livestock development.
4. Cattle and poultry rearing is a part of agriculture. The importance of livestock in the socio-economic development of the country is immense. By rearing cattle and poultry it is possible to solve the problem of human nutrition as well as to create self-employment for a large part of the unemployed population.
5. In the modern world there is no substitute for technological know-how in the development of any resource. The students of this institution will acquire hands-on practical world-class technical knowledge and will play a major role in the development of the country and the development of livestock by using it in practice.
6. Giving importance to the issue of food security, food safety, public health & one health in which a skilled veterinarian can play a role.
